Reviews Summary

Visitors find the Landeshaus Schleswig-Holstein State Parliament to be an impressive building, particularly its waterside setting and the symbolic glass extension representing transparency. While some appreciate its architectural contrast, others feel the daylight appearance is less striking than nighttime views. Open days offer valuable access and insights.

"Nice gays"

Johann Bargeld

"When I first saw the state parliament in Kiel, it was already dark, and I would have given it four or five stars.

But in daylight, it didn't seem quite as high in the rankings.

It's a square brick building, close to the water. The glass extension of the plenary hall represents transparency, as is the case with so many state parliaments.

Three stars.

You have to decide for yourself."

FreezFrog

"The best state parliament in Germany with the best representatives. I'm from San Francisco, Kiel's twin city in the US, and I recently got a tour of the state parliament from Rixa Kleinschmidt (CDU). I was very impressed. Thank you, Rixa!"
