What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the German Tank Museum Munster's extensive and well-preserved collection of German tanks and military vehicles, spanning from WWI to the present. While the lack of English signage is a common point of feedback, the availability of a translation app significantly enhances the experience for international visitors. The helpful staff and convenient payment options also contribute to a positive overall impression.
"Must see for any military armor enthusiast. Took my father who had been waiting for a decade and he was not disappointed. Extensive collection of well preserved German tanks as well as Russian, British, American, and Israeli. Little English used in signage but it didn’t detract from the awesome condition these machines are in."

"The collection is quite impressive. I guess most tanks used by the Wehrmacht if not all, are in the museum. The Panzer series, the Jagdpanzer, the Tiger tank, 8.8 Flak, several PAK, they are all there.
The staff is kind and very helpful.
For this reason I rate the museum with 5 stars.
One kind remark for future reference, the texts near each object are in German only. It would have been handy if there would be English descriptions as well.
Loved it!"

"Excellent place to visit, your inner(or current) 12 year old/adult self will thank you for making the trip! As some have mentioned, they do not have signs in English, but they do have an app on the phone that has translations for 95% of them. Definitely a must see if you're into this kind of thing (I am 😁), and plan on spending 2-3+ hours if you want to read/watch everything"
