"We stopped by for lunch at this place seeing the ratings!
Was definitely worth. The curry was creamy and very tasty despite being made without onion and garlic (on request for a person in our group) 😛
Dal was also flavorful, masala papad was just like how they give in india. And lastly the chai was great (also they gave us a whole kettle for 3 cups)

All in all, great place, definitely worth a visit!"

The History of Karlsruhe Palace

Commissioned by Margrave Charles William of Baden-Durlach in 1715, Karlsruhe Palace was designed as the central point of a new city, laid out in a fan shape radiating from the palace tower. This unique urban planning concept is still visible today and is a key feature of the city's layout. The palace served as the residence of the Margraves, Electors, and Grand Dukes of Baden for centuries. Its Baroque architecture, with a prominent central tower, was intended to symbolize power and prestige.

During World War II, the palace was heavily damaged by bombing. However, it was meticulously reconstructed in the post-war period, preserving its historical significance and architectural beauty. Today, it stands not only as a historical monument but also as the home of the State Museum of Baden, offering visitors a glimpse into the region's rich past. The palace's enduring presence is a symbol of Karlsruhe's resilience and its historical importance in the region. Reddit

Exploring the Palace Gardens

The Palace Gardens (Schlossgarten) surrounding Karlsruhe Palace are a magnificent example of Baroque landscape design. Originally laid out in the 18th century, they have been carefully maintained and evolved over time. Visitors can wander through formal parterres, serene lawns, and charming tree-lined avenues. The gardens offer a peaceful retreat from the city bustle and provide stunning views of the palace itself.

Key features include the Orangerie, which once housed citrus trees during winter, and various sculptures and fountains that add to the aesthetic appeal. It's a popular spot for locals and tourists alike to enjoy a leisurely stroll, have a picnic, or simply relax amidst the greenery. The gardens are particularly beautiful in spring when flowers are in bloom and in autumn with the changing foliage. TikTokInstagram
