Visitors appreciate the Edvard Munch House for its intimate connection to the artist's life and the knowledgeable staff who share engaging stories. While not a traditional museum with extensive art collections, it offers a unique glimpse into Munch's time in Warnemünde and often hosts interesting contemporary exhibitions. Some find the limited hours and focus on historical context rather than art a drawback.
"We were on a cruise thru the Baltic Sea and one of the stops was Warnemunde. We easily self guided around town using Google maps and my research as the town is rather small.
We purposely went out to find Edward Munch house as we have seen his famous painting in New York.
The house is quite small and the lady inside was very helpful in explaining everything. Took less than an hour to visit.
Still very nice."
