Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Antimachia Windmill as a charming and authentic experience. The highlight is witnessing a fully operational traditional windmill, coupled with the delicious baked goods made from its flour. The friendly family owners and the affordable entry fee further enhance the positive sentiment, making it a highly recommended stop on Kos.

"We visited the windmill and we weren't disappointed. We were met by a lovely lady who explained that the windmill is the only traditional windmill working in the whole of Greece. She gave us complimentary breadsticks and biscuits made with flour from the windmill while we waited for the tour of the windmill. I think the cost was 2.50 Euro per person. The tour of the windmill lasts about 10 mins and a guide and the actual miller explained how the windmill works, and the miller also asked for help when he showed how the roof moves to position the sails. We had a choice of two bags of breadstick or biscuits as part of the entry fee. Nice little shop where you could purchase herbs, olive oils and other products from the windmill. Little cafe on site and a donkey in a stable. Worth a visit."

"Pretty impressive fact, although in Greece there are a lot of windmills from which some are restored, this specific one is one of the few if not the only one that was fully restored, it is entirely functional and used commercially. These means that all the other mills might look complete but might not work or they can not produce flour for consumption. In other words it's a must see. Another great fact is that the entry to the mill is "paid" in form of a purchase of products made from the flour produced here and they are incredibly good."

"Great little cafe .The flour they mill in their own windmill is turned into loverly baked treats .We bought a couple of bags to take with us
They were really nice and well worth the cost. If you buy something in the cafe, you can get a tour of the inside of the mill. If you need to use the toilet, you need to buy something first, which I believe is totally fair."
