"Quiet, peaceful place. Beautiful paintings, beautiful all round in fact. Not so keen on the zoo. Couldn't see why these poor birds and animals needed to be there to demonstrate the ability to live alongside each other. This is truly captivity. HOWEVER the monastery itself and the surroundings are well worth a visit ( whatever your beliefs) - amazingly beautiful. Historic items are pretty amazing too. ENJOY"

"Beautiful place to visit. They have a handful of animals outside which is lovely. Terrapins, birds and more. You can light a candle and walk around, it truly is beautiful.
Should you arrive not covered up you can put on a robe, which is helpful.
The kids loved looking around 8/9yo, teenagers too, as well as parents; suitable for all ages."
