What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Liapades Beach is widely praised for its stunning natural beauty, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and opportunities for swimming and snorkeling. Visitors appreciate the option of boat rentals to explore nearby coves and the availability of amenities like restaurants and loungers. However, some find the beach to be quite commercialized, with higher prices for rentals and a less-than-ideal customer service experience at times. Parking can also be a significant challenge during peak season.
"Very pretty and there also is a small public area which does not cost anything and is great !
but you have to pay around 20 euros for the beach loungers and the staff wasn't that kind. Also there you are not allowed to drink a small sip of your own water even if you need to take medication or something you have to buy a drink.
Otherwise great beach and as i said there is a public area where you can do anything you want you just don't have sun coverage :)"

"Nice beach with lots of hire boats coming and going. Beach is fairly clean, but could do with the restaurant owners and hire boat companies picking up the litter and encouraging tourists to put litter in a bag and take it to the nearest bin.
Water is clear and clean with lots of fish to see. I recommend snorkelling there, but stay within your depth if you’re not a strong swimmer. The fish love frozen peas to eat!
Stunning scenery and great for a morning sunbathing and or snorkelling.
The beach definitely needs some signs to remind people not to be disgusting and dispose of their rubbish appropriately.
Don’t forget to take plenty of drinking water and sun cream"

"Nice beach. Clear water. You can rent set of sunbeds and there are nice restaurants on the beach. You also can rent boats.
However there are almost no parking place."

Exploring the Waters: Swimming & Snorkeling
Beyond the main beach, the surrounding coastline is dotted with smaller, more secluded coves and bays, many of which are only accessible by boat. This makes boat rentals a very popular activity. You can rent small motorboats or even paddle boats to explore these hidden gems, such as the nearby Rovinia Beach and Glyko Beach, offering a more private and adventurous experience.
The Liapades Village Connection
Exploring the village can be a pleasant addition to your beach day. You'll find local architecture, perhaps a small church, and a more relaxed pace of life compared to the bustling beach. This connection between the village and the beach provides a well-rounded experience, allowing you to enjoy both the natural beauty of the coastline and the cultural charm of the island.
Navigating Amenities and Costs
While the convenience of these services is appreciated, some visitors have noted that the beach can feel more commercialized compared to other, more remote beaches on Corfu. Additionally, there have been comments about the staff not always being the friendliest and a suggestion that you might be encouraged to buy drinks from the establishments. Despite these points, the overall consensus is that the stunning natural beauty of Liapades Beach makes it a worthwhile destination.
