What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Glaros Beach offers a fantastic location with generally friendly and professional staff, making for a pleasant stay. However, some guests have noted issues with the quality of all-inclusive food, extra charges for amenities like WiFi and pool towels, and occasional noise disturbances. The beach's size can also be affected by waves.
"Wonderful stay – highly recommended! We truly enjoyed our time at this hotel. The location is perfect – close to everything you might need, and the food was delicious throughout our stay. One small downside was the beach: when the waves are high, it practically disappears, which can be a bit disappointing if you're planning to spend a lot of time by the sea.
However, what really made our experience exceptional was the staff. Special thanks to Josif and the head waiter – both were incredibly professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly. Their service made us feel welcome and well taken care of."

"Dear Hotel Management,
I would like to share some feedback regarding our recent stay at your hotel, as I believe this can help improve future guest experiences.
Unfortunately, our stay did not start in the best way. At check-in on 26.08.2025, I first asked politely if the local tax payment could be checked with the travel agency, to ensure everything was in order. Afterwards, since we had arrived very late in the evening, I kindly asked if it might be possible to pay the tax for one day less, considering we had booked two rooms. Instead of receiving a clear explanation, the gentleman at reception reacted in an unprofessional manner, raising his voice, and the younger colleague also responded rudely. This attitude was disappointing, especially for front office staff in the hospitality field.
A second unpleasant moment was during breakfast, when I politely asked for a table to be cleared. The lady serving on the left-hand side of the restaurant (coming from reception) replied, rather annoyed, asking me if I hadn’t already found an available table ☹. Even if I had missed seeing one, I feel her tone and attitude were not suitable for someone working in guest service.
Another inconvenience was the noise in the early mornings caused by unloading activities at the hotel. Being woken up like this every day is not what one expects when coming for rest and relaxation.
On a very positive note, I would like to sincerely thank Thalia at reception, who was by far the most customer-oriented and welcoming staff member we met. She always provided us with all the information we needed, patiently, with a smile, and with a genuine willingness to help. She truly stood out and made our stay more pleasant.
I hope this feedback is helpful, and that some of the issues mentioned can be addressed for the benefit of future guests.
Kind regards,
Simona"

In-depth insights and expert knowledge
Understanding Glaros Beach Conditions
Despite the potential for waves, the beach's location in Hersonissos means it's often close to amenities. Many hotels, including the Glaros Beach Hotel, offer direct access or are just steps away. This proximity allows for easy transitions between beach time and enjoying hotel facilities or exploring the nearby promenade.
For those who enjoy the sea regardless of wave conditions, Glaros Beach still offers a picturesque setting. The vibrant blue of the Aegean Sea is a constant, and the surrounding landscape provides a lovely backdrop for relaxation and soaking up the Mediterranean sun.
Navigating Hotel Amenities and Costs
Guests frequently mention that amenities such as WiFi and pool towels are not included in the standard room rate and require extra payment. This can add up, especially if multiple devices need internet access or if towels are rented hourly. Some reviews express surprise and dissatisfaction with these extra costs, particularly for what are often considered basic amenities in a four-star hotel.
When planning your stay at Glaros Beach Hotel, it's wise to inquire about all potential extra costs upfront. This will help you budget accordingly and avoid any unexpected expenses, ensuring a smoother and more enjoyable vacation experience.
The Glaros Beach Dining Experience
The dining room itself can also be a point of contention. During peak times, it can become very crowded, leading to waits for tables and potentially cold food by the time you are seated. This atmosphere can detract from the dining experience, especially for those seeking a relaxed meal.
A notable point of concern for many guests is the policy regarding drinks during dinner. It is often highlighted that guests must pay for all beverages, including water, which is significantly more expensive than purchasing it from local shops. This policy has been a source of frustration for several visitors.
