What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Panormos Beach is praised for its stunningly clear, turquoise waters and beautiful bay views, offering a more tranquil experience than some other island beaches. While the paid sunbed areas can be pricey, free public sections are available. Visitors recommend renting a quad bike for easy access and exploring the island.
"Lovely beach with super clear water. 1.5 hr walk from town so worth having a quad bike for the day to drive to different beaches like this one. (Worth doing for a day for sure and quad bikes cost €70-100 for 24 hrs) Have to walk past about 100m of sunbeds which are super expensive to get to the free part. A really beautiful beach though. A few small bits of litter"

"Stunning beach! Used to be completely ruined by a beach club (Principote), which is now fortunately closed!
Quiet, transparent waters, beautiful sand make this a great place to spend your day at. Only downside is poor shade in the morning to early afternoon. In the late afternoon, the aforementioned beach club provides shade!
Kalosta just above the beach is a great place to grab a bite!"

"The nice beach we visited 2016 doesn’t exist anymore. Tons of cement covered the field and becomes huge parking 50€/ day. Young boys dressed in white will take your key and will park your car (usually rented car on Mykonos are small cars for 50€/day). You can arrive by helicopter, of course. If you want to buy the illusion that you are a millionaire here is the place! You are entering through a nice entrance door and beautiful girls in black will introduce you the place: the two restaurants can fulfil all your dreams for some thousands of euro. The beach, of course the beach is covered with white and brown mattresses next to each other. (is hard to see the sand, to walk and there is no privacy). One in white is 170€/ day in brown is 150€/day. Looks like mixt dormitory room. There is not possible to listen the sea:-( So the illusion has high price if you need this “luxury”.
The rich people are not usually on this beach. For them luxury is the free time and the privacy, the silence, the sound of the sea and the wind.
For tourists, who want to enjoy the beach, the nature and to relax- drive behind the complex, there is a small public beach and then walk on the beach, passing in front the mattresses. You will reach the public part of Panormos beach where you can stay. There is a lifeguard. Enjoy!"
