"We learned so much from it. The staff is really helpful and have a lot of knowledge so don’t hesitate to ask them anything. The structure of the house says a lot about how the build their houses over a century ago. The museum itself has a really big amount of exhibits. It’s a must visit museum if you ever visite Rethymno because you learn about the contemporary history of the whole Crete (15th century until 20th century)"

"Interesting and informative museum in the old town of Rethymno. Signs are provided in English and we learnt lots about the traditional crafts of Crete as well as the wider history of the island. Would recommend visiting when you first arrive in Rethymno if you want the background information before exploring.
A relatively small museum but definitely worth a visit. The opening times are limited but we found the ones listed on Google to be correct."
