What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally praise Attica Zoological Park for its diverse animal collection and engaging shows, especially the dolphin performance. The spacious, naturalistic enclosures and family-friendly atmosphere are frequently highlighted. However, some find the park a bit far from the city center and wish for more food variety.
"We visited the Attica Zoo on our last day in Athens and had a great time. The zoo is clean, well-organized, and home to a wide variety of animals — a real treat for any animal lover. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed visit.
We went in the late afternoon and unfortunately missed the dolphin attraction, which opens on specific times and closes earlier (4:30 PM). There was a small sign at the entrance, but it would have been helpful if the staff had mentioned it.
One small downside: with the heat, it would’ve been nice to have more places to grab a drink inside, aside from the main shop at the entrance.
Overall, a wonderful experience and definitely worth a visit!"

"Very nice organized zoo close to Athens, very close to the airport. It has a large variety of exhibits. The dolphins pool is unique, I have never seen that kind of activity in a zoo. The Asian elephants are great. The butterflies area is also very nice. Has a lot of spots to seat, with plenty of shadow. The crew was very helpful, the place well maintained, and not crowded."

"The Athens Zoo is a true oasis of joy for animal lovers. The fact that you don’t have to wait in long lines and can even enter certain areas to feed the animals makes the experience truly wonderful. It’s a beautiful, relaxing place filled with special moments."
