What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Goulandris Natural History Museum for its extensive and well-presented exhibits, particularly its lifelike dioramas of Greek wildlife and flora. It's highly recommended for families with children due to its engaging and interactive displays. While generally well-received, some visitors note that it can get crowded on weekends.
"It is a lovely museum in a beautiful location, with a charming garden and a nice café. It has quite a few exhibits, though overall, it could benefit from some upgrades. Many of the display cases have slightly foggy or dirty glass, and signs of aging are visible, The labels for the exhibits are very small, outdated, and hard to read, which makes exploring the museum more difficult. There are more modern ways to present exhibits, and it would be beneficial to update the displays—especially since there is no tour guide available.
Still, it was a pleasant experience. We were lucky to visit on International Museum Day, so we got to see all the exhibits and performances for free. Thank you!"

"Nice place to visit especially for families with kids. Although not a huge collection is exhibited, the information shared, the way of presentation and the amiable staff makes the visit a very nice experience and a place to learn things. There are three areas the natural history area, the climate change area and the earthquake section. If you are interested for the dome note that you must visit the museum well before 12 and you need to pay 5 euro more per person. Also, if you are travelling by car brace yourself because the free parking in the area is really challenging to find and the prices of paid ones are out of logic e.g. 5 euro for half hour."

"Great choice when you want to visit a museum of natural history. Captivating exhibits that inspire children's knowledge and imagination! Friendly and supporting staff. Awesome Triceratop skeleton!"
