What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the City Park Ice Rink's magical atmosphere and stunning views of Vajdahunyad Castle, calling it a quintessential winter experience in Budapest. While the historic charm and picturesque setting are major draws, some find it can get quite crowded, especially on weekends.
"On a hot summer day, City Park Boating was just what we needed! Hopping on a paddle boat that fits four was pure chill—fun for both kids and grown-ups. Cruising around, catching the breeze, and people-watching made it even better. It’s a super relaxing and low-key way to enjoy Budapest vibes."

"Amazing outdoors skating rink.
By chance ended up watching freestyle skaters preparing for the competition later that day.
Premises have enough space for many visitors at once to change, to hang out and skating rink can accommodate skaters of absolutely different levels all at once."

"As a former figure skater, this was my favourite activity in Budapest. The rink is massive and there's no boards, so you can really take in the beautiful view of the surrounding park. The ice was fresh when I arrived for the afternoon session and the rink side food and drink vendors are so cute! Entry fee is reasonable especially given that you can skate for hours. Unsurprisingly, the rental skates are a bit rubbish but I think for most tourists it's worth it not to pay to bring them on a plane (unless you dream of spinning and jumping under the night sky - you will fall if you try to do that in these plastic boots haha). I still got lots of laps and some good lunges in 😊"
