What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Liszt Academy for its breathtaking Art Nouveau architecture and exceptional acoustics, making it a top destination for both music lovers and architecture enthusiasts. While concert tickets can be pricey for some events, the overall experience is highly regarded. Some find the surrounding area very lively, which can be a pro or con depending on preference.
"Highly recommend everyone to join the guided tour lasted for around an hour to understand the history and architectural characteristics of the academy. 6700huf for an in-depth English guided tour is good value, though you may need to pay great attention if you are not that familiar with English because the accent of the guide may be a bit difficult to understand. Anyway, this is probably the only way for you to get in touch with the academy in addition to concerts. At the end of the tour, there is a mini concert lasting for approximately 10 to 15 minutes, performed by the students of the academy. It's fascinating and outstanding!"

"We attended a concert with the purpose of both seeing the building, which is considered an important example of the Art Nouveau movement, and enjoying beautiful music. The building has an impressive architecture with unique details that make you feel immersed. The concert took place in the main hall, and we also appreciated the acoustics and design of the hall.
In addition to the architecture of the building, we also enjoyed our time there. The concert was wonderful, and our experience entering and exiting the hall was smooth. The staff members were attentive and polite. I highly recommend purchasing tickets to a concert that interests you and experiencing this impressive building while enjoying music inside."

"Check before you go, if they are offering a tour in English or not. We showed up and there were no English tours today. No listening devices that I am aware of. Also closed tomorrow Sunday, contradicting what it said on line. We tagged along with a Hungarian tour, not understanding a word. The 10 minutes of piano music at the end was very good. Total duration 1 hour."
