"It is free. You see enlarged eggs in marbles from different bird species here. It is pretty interesting but other than that there's not much to see there."

"Eggin í Gleðivík is a quick and quirky stop in Djúpivogur, a row of large stone eggs lined up by the harbor, each one representing a local bird species. It’s fun, different, and a nice break if you’re driving through the town."

"So if you're passing through Gledivik...why not. Its a good stop for fuel and provisions. There is a small grocery here. The art installation is interesting and really only requires 10 minutes of your time. I am certain that it took a lot of time to build and it is an interesting concept with a good tie to the natural world in Iceland. We have loved seeing so many new to us bird species while we have been here. Parking is limited though its quiet down here, doubtful that anyone will bother you for where you leave your car. Don't miss the climbable little orange Djupivogur Lighthouse while you are here."
