What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Dussehra Ghat is lauded as an underrated gem offering spectacular, close-up views of the Taj Mahal, especially at night. Visitors appreciate the free access, the serene riverfront temple, and the unique perspective from boat rides. Some note the unlit path at night, suggesting caution or twilight visits.
"An underrated tourist spot in the stunning city of Agra. This place offers some of the best and closest views of the Taj Mahal from the Yamuna river ghat (for free). To reach here, you will have to walk for 5 to 10 minutes from the Taj East Gate. During evening/night there is no light on the road that leads to this ghat. You need to walk in complete darkness along the outer wall of the Taj, with fireflies showing the way with their sporadic glitters. Being a highly secured zone, you will find many army personnel protecting this place, so safety won't be a concern even during night. This ghat is blessed with a beautiful temple, benches for sitting and a photography spot to capture the breathtaking Taj Mahal. The spectacular silhouette of the Taj during night from this ghat is a sight to behold. I would recommend improved beautification of this ghat for foreign tourist.🩵"
