The architecture also responds to the tropical climate. The sunken, multi-level library is housed in an internal, climate controlled structure encased within a larger, multiple storey external shell entered at ground level that has multi-storey, internal voids surrounding the perimeter with enormous, louvered panels to provide protection from wind and rain while allowing cross-ventilation from all four sides."
