"We were fortunate to reach this place early, it wasn't the time to open it up for tourists yet. However, the kind security guard let us in, with tickets ofcourse (he definitely wasn't appreciated by the other staff for doing so - the lake is pretty unsafe, it's deep and there are chances of drowning so stay away from the waters). So, during a holiday season, we had the lake all for ourselves for about half an hour to forty five minutes, it definitely felt like it wasn't enough time. The fog raining down from the mountains over the lake, like an Avalanche - what a sight it was! Do visit this lake if you're planning your trip to Ooty and visit it early morning to enjoy the misty, magical experience!
