While cleanliness can be a concern due to the number of visitors, the overall sanctity and positive energy are consistently highlighted as major draws.
"Visited on Monday morning (not in sawan or any fest), although it was Monday everything was so smooth and there was no hurry while having darshan. Now talking about cleanliness, for sure we can't expect it to be completely clean everywhere as lot of devotees visit here but still the cleanliness was way much better as compared to the number of people, didn't want to leave it. I'd recommend to have a boat ride, fells good and give complete view of the ghats"

"Bhagvat Katha was organized in our village after which we went to Bateshwar Ghat to immerse the Kalash as per tradition. Bateshwar Dham is dedicated to Lord Shiva. And when you come here you will feel a different kind of positive energy. Along with this, here you can travel by boat in the river. And there are many shops here where you can buy a lot of household items and also items for the Puja path."
