What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally find Bannerghatta Butterfly Park to be a pleasant and serene escape, particularly enjoyable for families and nature lovers. The well-maintained conservatory dome and educational exhibits are highlights, though some note the butterfly count could be higher. It's considered a good spot for a short, refreshing outing.
"I recently visited this Butterfly Park and had a pleasant experience overall. The park is within the Bannerghatta Biological Park, offering a peaceful escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. The enclosed butterfly dome is well-maintained, and I was able to spot a variety of butterflies fluttering around the lush greenery, although not as many as I had hoped for🥲. The environment inside the dome is humid and tropical, simulating the natural habitat of butterflies, which adds to the immersive feel. There's also a small museum section that provides interesting information about different butterfly species and their life cycle. The surrounding garden area is nice for a short walk and photography. While the butterfly count could have been higher, it was still a calming and educational visit. Ideal for families and nature lovers, especially with kids. Overall, it’s a good spot for a short, refreshing outing if you're in or around Bangalore.

"There is a separate butterfly park inside the biological park. You can buy the ticket in advance or you can buy it after reaching there. Since I visited on a weekday there's not much rush. The park was good, it is okay to visit once. There is an closed room inside the park and there we can see different butterflies. The ticket can be bought in combination with safari and Zoo or can be bought separately as well. There are restrooms avilable inside the butterfly park as well and also there is a baby care kind of facility available"

"Nothing much to see inside the dome in the butterfly park, besides a whole lot of plants to home butterflies. Also not a whole lot of variations of butterflies inside. I went in June of 2025. There's a mini river inside with beautiful fishes. And also an exhibition of different types and variations of preserved butterflies were also there. If one is interested in Butterflies, they can gain a lot of knowledge from the exhibition. Good place to visit with family, kids, friends."
