"It's named after Tenzing Norgay, who, along with Edmund Hillary, was one of the first people to reach the summit of Mount Everest. It's a huge natural rock on the main road in Darjeeling. The rock is maintained by the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI) and is used for rock climbing training. There’s a small walkway where you can enjoy the sight. The view is filled with pine forests, entire valley was lightly covered in mist and fog, which made the place look stunning. It was beautiful, refreshing, and perfect for some nature photography or simply spending a few calm moments away from the crowd. It may be not a large destination, but it's popular and must-visit for who wants a mix of nature, and a bit of mountain spirit in their Darjeeling trip. I purchased some tea from the roadside shop here."

"Great scenic beauty. A mid size rock is there for trekking. Charges 100 rs per head. But the area is small and crowded. Some small shops are associated here for winter clothing, street foods and all. If you are a trekking lover you can definitely visit this place. No doubt this place is beautiful."
