Reviews Summary

Triund is celebrated for its breathtaking Dhauladhar views and the rewarding trekking experience, making it a must-visit in Dharamshala. While many enjoy the moderate trek and camping under the stars, some find the single-day ascent challenging and advocate for an overnight stay. There's also a call from visitors to maintain the natural beauty by discouraging litter and alcohol consumption.

"Good trek to do if you are in Dharamshala.Cigarettes and liquor should be permanently banned in this region."

Dinesh Thakur

"Truind is a popular 9 km trek from McLeod Ganj, offering stunning views of the Dhauladhar Range. It’s a moderate trek (4-5 hours) and perfect for camping with breathtaking sunrise and starry skies. Ideal for nature lovers, trekkers, and those seeking a quick escape.

Best for: Trekking, camping, nature views
Best time: March–June & Sept–Nov
Vibe: peaceful, and adventure-filled"

Anjali Sandal

"A challenging trek. Do not attempt this trek if you do not have the capacity for harsh treks in a single day. While tour operators advertise this as doable 1 day trek, double check with the group members accompanying, especially woman. Going up and down on a single day is difficult and will be tiring. But if you take a day's stay at the top, then it is feasible and you can go further up to the snowline. We visited in Jan'24, unfortunately there was no snow at the Triund top. But still a worth while Trek."
