"I recently visited Himani Chamunda Temple in Palampur, and it was an unforgettable experience. The temple is located on top of a hill and reaching there involves a long but beautiful trek.
🛤️ The Trek – The trail is around 13 km from the road. It took us about 7 hours to reach the temple, as the path is steep and challenging at some points. While returning, it only took around 3 hours, since it’s mostly downhill. On the way, you’ll enjoy fresh mountain air, pine forests, and scenic views of the Dhauladhar range and Kangra Valley.
☕ On the Way – Midway, we found a small old home shop run by elderly locals. There was Natural Drinking Water source & we filled our bottles with it. They were selling tea, biscuits, and simple eatables. Their hardworking nature and warm hospitality made the journey even more special. Having hot tea with biscuits at that height was truly refreshing.
🙏 The Temple – Peaceful, clean, and filled with positive vibes. Once you reach the top, the calm atmosphere and sound of temple bells make you forget all the tiredness.
