The journey begins from Madikeri (in Coorg, Karnataka), where jeeps are the only vehicles allowed to go up to the peak due to the rugged terrain. As soon as you hop into the jeep, get ready for a bumpy, adrenaline-pumping ride through the dense forest trails and muddy paths.
The roads are raw – narrow, winding, with sharp turns and frequent water streams crossing your path.

"This should be a must go place in your trip. You will have to take a jeep (Costs 2500 per jeep) from the jeep point to reach here. The jeep travel is an adventure as it is mostly off road and bumpy with a stunning view throughout.
The peak offers an absolutely wonderful sight. Although it was fog all around during my visit but it was still breathtaking."

NOT advisable for Pregnant women or people with Bone Issues or who have undergone a surgery in the recent past, since the Jeep rides are highly bumpy due to many many potholes. The entry closes by 5pm. It's highly advisable to visit early morning. Jeep ride rates vary from season to season. Approx 1500-2500 per jeep. No plastic or Food allowed. Slippery path, be careful."
