This is one of the temples where people going Pournami Girivalam around 3.5km in the hills. The average time taken to finish the Girivalam is 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Girivalam is allowed only on the mentioned dates up to 4.30pm. Sometimes Pournami falls in 2 days, Kindly see time and date of Girivalam mentioned in the flex is followed.

After finishing the Girivalam "Annadanam " is provided.
All these are maintained by a private temple committee member.
To claim the top of the temple it will take 20 to 30 minutes.
In the top only Shivalingam is worshipped, no ambal temple here.

"The place is heavenly. I would advice people who have no experience climbing this temple to tread carefully. It will be difficult as we reach the top, as the oxygen levels reduce. But there are places along the stairs where you can rest and drink water.
The place gets pretty crowded. So advisable if you reach early. It has around 1.8k steps. There is a wide parking space available."
