"Sillari Gate at Pench Tiger Reserve is one of the best entry points for a peaceful and immersive jungle safari experience. Unlike some of the more crowded gates, Sillari offers a quieter and well-managed entry to the stunning wilderness of Pench.
The forest here is breathtaking, with tall teak trees, open grasslands, and water bodies that attract a variety of wildlife. During our safari, we spotted spotted deer, gaur (Indian bison), langurs, wild boars, and an incredible variety of birds. Though we weren’t lucky enough to see a tiger, our guide mentioned that tiger sightings here are quite frequent.
The safari experience was smooth, with well-maintained routes and an expert guide who provided valuable insights into the flora and fauna. The vehicles were in good condition, and the staff was helpful and professional.
One of the biggest positives is that Sillari Gate remains open during monsoon, unlike other Pench entry points, making it a great option for nature lovers year-round. The forest guest house nearby is a decent option for staying close to nature, though food options are limited.
The only downside is that mobile network is weak in some areas, which can be a challenge for navigation. However, this also adds to the raw and untouched charm of the place.
