"A beautiful Divya desam located about 50kms from tirunelveli, is a unique and beautiful temple spread over a large area. It has a unique oil tank here which they use for Abhisheka of main diety. U can purchase the oil bottles which is supposed to be curing ailments like joint pains. The temple priests are really wonderful..

Very near to Tirunelveli"

"This temple opens around 7.45 to 8.00 in the morning. They first perform worship of Manavala Mahamuni. After that, the Jeer comes and provides Viswa Roopa Darsanam (worship of the main diety in original form). Then, during worship of Perumal, oil abhishekam is done, called as Thirumanjanam. You can contribute additional oil over and above the three litres of oil the temple arranges everyday for the thirumanjanam. Small bottles of oil collected after pouring on the diety during thirumanjanam can be purchased for fifty rupees each from the priests, and the bottle contains approx 100 ml of oil. There is a belief, that applying this oil on places in the body where there are pains or health problems will relieve them, in particular, joint pains, arthritis and skin problems.
If you happen to enter the temple when the viswa roopa darsanam is being arranged, you may need to wait for about 30 minutes. Similarly, there may be another wait of 30 minutes if you want to see the oil thirumanjanam that follows."
