"This is the temple in koteshwar in narayan sarovar district.very few bus from mandvi and bhuj comes to narayan sarovar.. from there you will have to take auto or walk 2 kms to reach koteshwar.

This temple has an history of shree ravana who was bhakt of shree mahadev ji who wanted to help the cow who fell in mud but as instructed by mahadev ji he should not keep the ling gifted to him down on earth.. he forgot and kept down and helped cow... When he turned back he saw 10000 lings which is now too present here.. confused he took one ling to his lanka and left other here. So this place is called koteshwar koti means 1000 lings of lord shiva.

The temple stairs are from backside as the temple was first made and then the steps were made. The temple has good maharaj who explains and have wonderful coast view. Surrounded by rivers its gives lot of purity and peace.. there are small refreshment centers too nearby..
Kamlamata mandir, jhulelal tirth, narayan sarovar tirth are some tirth which are near to it.

There is no dharmashala in koteshwar but there is one 3 kms to it, valram vishram dham and swaminarayan temple."

"Koteshwar Mahadev Temple is one of the most divine and scenic temples in Gujarat, located at the westernmost tip of India, near Lakhpat in Kutch. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this temple not only holds deep spiritual significance but also offers breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea — making it a perfect blend of faith and natural beauty.According to legend, Lord Shiva himself appeared here as Koteshwar Mahadev, blessing this land with his divine presence. It is said that after Ravana’s penance to Lord Shiva, he was granted the Atma Linga. But when he became arrogant, Lord Shiva broke it into several pieces and one of those pieces fell at this place, forming Koteshwar Mahadev. Hence, the temple is considered one of the sacred lingas of great power and devotion. The temple stands majestically on a rocky hill overlooking the sea. The view during sunset is absolutely mesmerizing the golden sky, the sound of waves, and the temple bells together create a divine and peaceful atmosphere.Inside, the Shivling is simple yet powerful, radiating calm energy. Devotees offer water, milk, and prayers, and you can feel a deep sense of peace. The temple is clean, well-maintained, and beautifully lit in the evenings."
