"Be prepared to climb over 450 steps — but it’s truly worth it! These are ancient Buddhist caves, well maintained and fascinating to explore. Accessibility isn’t great, so if you’re planning a weekend visit, it’s better to go by bike rather than by car."
Vaibhav Chaitanya
"Best place to visit with family as a short trip.

"The other cave location in Lonavala which is underrated & comparatively lesser known.
One has to park vehicle at a free lot of closed restaurant and walk little towards steps.
Follow Google maps and take help from locals to reach the spot as roads are narrow.
Before starting climb, do read history of the caves written on a board near gate. Climbing takes around 20 minutes and there are proper steps till the top.
Once you reach the top you'll be greeted with archeological wonder which is more than 2000 years old.
There are 2 major caves - one with the stupa and another might be resting place of monks with rooms in it. Structural symmetry & layout of whole complex is admirable and astonishing considering the period during which it was built.
Place was surprisingly clean though basic things like washrooms & drinking water are missing."
