"Vivekananda rock Memorial is the place where Swami Vivekananda meditated on 26 and 27 December. The memorial has been build by Shri Eknath Ranade. The way to reach the memorial is via boats from Kanyakumari. There was a huge rush when we visited the place and the lines were there since morning 0600. The ticket price are Rs 150 normal and Rs 300 special. Though the ferry is the same. There is another Rs 30 ticket for entering the memorial. There are lots of hotels in the shore in kanyakumari for accomodation. The bridge was under construction when we visited and has been completed now. There is also a paravati temple on the place."

"We visited this place in the morning and there was absolutely no one around except for another family like us. The memorial entrance fee is 15/- per head and photography is allowed in the premises and inside. This area is very peaceful as it is in the far secluded area from the main road. There is also a marine museum right next to it. The memorial houses the life and works of Swami Vivekananda in pictures and literature. The entrance is welcomed with Vivekanand's large statue with a big lotus like decoration on top."
