Visitors praise the Tilak Ali Museum as a must-visit for history lovers and patriots, appreciating the well-preserved birthplace of Lokmanya Tilak and the insightful displays of his personal belongings and historical photos. It's described as a peaceful, meaningful, and respectful place that offers a deep connection to India's freedom struggle, though some note limited parking and potential for improved lighting or interactive exhibits.

"A must-visit for all history lovers! This is the birthplace of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, one of India’s most respected freedom fighters, social reformers, and thinkers. Born here in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, Tilak lived in this house until the age of 10. The traditional two-story home has been beautifully preserved and converted into a museum that showcases his personal belongings, old photographs, press clippings, and original items used by him.

You can also see rare photographs of the Lal-Bal-Pal trio, who played a key role in the Swaraj movement. The museum offers a nostalgic journey into the early life and times of Lokmanya Tilak — a true patriot whose ideas continue to inspire generations.

A peaceful and well-maintained place that every Indian should visit at least once! 🇮🇳"

"LM Tilak born on 23rd July 1856 lived here for 10 years. It was his rented home. The property belonged to someone namely Mr. Gore. LM Tilak shifted to Pune at the age of 10 on account of his father's promotion.

This house is situated in a very big premises. The backside of the house is converted into the garden now and the property now belongs to archaeological survey of India (ASI).

The present day set-up doesn't mention different rooms. The first floor is not open for visitors. The place is a part of a city road having lack of parking facility. It is wheelchair accessible place."
