"A Royal Dining Experience at Sawantwadi Palace
We visited Sawantwadi Palace for dinner after pre-booking our table and pre-ordering the menu, and it turned out to be such a memorable evening. The setting itself is stunning; walking through the palace and soaking in the heritage before dinner already made us feel like royalty. They even have games and cozy corners to explore before the meal.
We ordered a spread of appetizers, including Korean Cheesy Garlic Bread, Vietnamese Spring Rolls, Vietnamese Soft Shell Crab, Kimchi Fries, and the PwR Salad. For mains, the Fish Thali and Fried Truffle Mushroom Gyoza stood out as absolute favorites. To end, the dessert “Flavors of Sawantwadi” was plated beautifully and was truly a highlight of the meal.
The service was equally top-notch. Ms. Shraddha, the chef, the Yuvrani of the palace, personally checked on us, which made the evening feel even more special.
Sawantwadi Palace Boutique Art Hotel is more than just a restaurant; it’s a blend of heritage, authentic flavors, and warm hospitality. Highly recommend this gem, whether for dinner or even a royal stay."

"Today we went to the Sawantwadi Palace Boutique Art Hotel.
I had heard great stuff about Yuvraj Lakham and Yuvrani Shraddha Bhonsle. They both have studied at the Culinary Institue of America and it shows in every dish.
They have a set menu, and an Ala carte menu. Hubby had food from the Ala carte menu and I had the tasting menu of Ramen
My starters were Pan seared scallion prawn Gyoza with a spicy broth...divine
Main was a Pork Tonkastu Ramen....each and every item was made there, including the hand rolled noodles...and it was a beautifully balanced broth....and was delicious
Dessert was a New York based cheesecake with berries....divine...
Hubby had Karaage Chicken, a Japanese style fried chicken tossed in Sawantwadi style curry leaf podi and served with sol kadi sauce..
Followed by a Sawantwadi Thali...prawn curry cooked to perfection, lightly spiced potato bhaji, sol kadi and a lovely bhaji, some neer dosa, which is a staple in Sawantwadi as they are mostly rice eaters. Its similar to the one in Karnataka, but slightly denser, served with a large piece of fish, fried to perfection. Dessert was delicious kheer"
