"One of the most historic buildings of Shimla, tucked away on the road to Jakhoo Temple.
Built in early 19th Century it has been home of the AO Hume the founder of Indian National Congress Party. He was also known as father of Indian Ornithology.
The property now is in private hands and with restricted access. However one can have look at it from the main gate.
On the way to Jakhoo Temple one can have good view from second gate. There one will also find plaque giving history of the building."
