"Located in the midst of cedar and pine trees and mountains it is one of the most offbeat lakes around Nainital. View is quite awesome, not a lot of tourists go there so the place is relatively quite. Scenic beauty is quite wonderful. There is not much in terms of boating and adventure activities that you can do here. But you can find peace ✌️"

"Khurpa Taal, located about 12 km from Nainital at an elevation of 5,500 feet, is a pristine and tranquil lake surrounded by lush greenery and terraced fields. Known for its crystal-clear waters and serene ambiance, the lake offers a unique charm as its color changes with the light from sunrise to sunset. Laced with tall trees, it remains relatively unexploited by tourists, making it a hidden haven for those seeking solitude and natural beauty.
Khurpa Taal is also considered ideal for fishing due to its abundance of freshwater fish. While the lake is perfect for a brief visit of 10-15 minutes to admire its beauty, there aren’t many activities nearby, adding to its untouched and peaceful appeal. For nature lovers and anglers, this secret gem offers an enchanting escape from the busier tourist spots of Nainital."

"Small lake but view looks great from view point. Lake is surrounded with mountains, houses, pine trees etc.
Local says water changes color. That's due to sun rays.
No entry fees. There are steps down to the lake. Not very crowded as it's less visited. But Lake is not clearly visible from view point due to trees around.
Boating is not allowed here.
Small stalls are there near view point."
