The main Ramanujar Thirumeni (idol) in Sriperumbudur is called "Thanuganda Thirumeni" (or "Thaan Ugandha Thirumeni"), meaning "the form he liked himself". It is unique because it was made while Ramanujar was alive and is said to hold his essence.
