First time when I went to Cauvery Kund, there were lot of tourist from north taking holy dip. But, the second time I went in September, during rainy season. Very few tourists came. the Kund had freezing water and the dip in Cauvery, is etched to my memory for life long.
After taking holy dip and changing dress; perform pooja to Kaveri with preist. Then go up 20 steps, to visit 3 temple built. The Shiva linga is the one worshipped by Saint Agastya rishi."
