The Shri Lakshmi Narasimha Temple in Veling is my Kuldevata temple, and every visit fills the heart with calmness and devotion. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu (as Narasimha – the half-man, half-lion avatar) and Goddess Lakshmi, the temple is a serene spiritual retreat surrounded by nature.
The temple’s architecture is stunning — featuring intricate wooden carvings, artistic bar reliefs, and paintings inspired by the Sri Narasimha Purana. The natural freshwater temple tank adds to the sacred atmosphere, and the steps leading down to it are perfect for a peaceful moment of reflection.
The priests and staff maintain the temple beautifully, and the surroundings are very clean and well-kept. Festivals like Navratri, Ramanavami, and the annual Jatra (Magha Masa) are celebrated with great devotion and energy.
