At the hilltop rests a large Ratham (chariot) made of precious materials, believed to have been constructed by the Hazaris of Warangal.According to legend, Lord Srinivasa of Tirupati, tired of granting wishes, came to rest in a cave on this hillock. He appeared in a dream to Rudrama Devi, revealing his presence. Rudrama Devi’s men discovered the main idol of Shri Govindaraja Swamy and Lord Krishna.
