Pulau Macan is the best choice for a weekend getaway. The access is easy, just around 2 hr speedboat ride from Ancol. The atmosphere is very peaceful, perfect for those who want to "heal." The place is very clean, the sea water is clear, and the sunset view is incredible. The staff are friendly and the food provided is delicious. Highly recommended for a private vacation that isn't far from Jakarta!"

"Pulau Macan is one of the best eco lodges I have ever been to! It is incredibly underrated and I only heard about it since it was recommended by a friend. The friendly and ever smiling staff maintain sparkling cleanliness alongside their commitment to sustainability. The food is excellent and cooked with love by the team of lovely ladies - the talented team of cooks.

Be prepared to be spoilt by a different level of luxury with over water villas, open showers but bear in mind there's no AC , hot showers or high-powered appliances here. But trust me, you won't miss them! The scenery is absolutely breathtaking! Plus, the privacy makes it feel like your own little slice of paradise. If you're a nature lover, a couple seeking romance, or anyone craving a digital detox, Pulau Macan is a perfect 10/10!
You’ll be sharing space with many clown fish and the resident 60 something year old hawksbill turtle by the pier, also the many monitor lizards around the island. Please don’t forget to pick as much plastic during your snorkel and hand it over to the staff for disposal.

"Rooms were super nice, with walls made out of bamboo blinds that gave a cozy island vibe. We stayed near the biawak(monitor lizard) area and those little guys were adorable! The water is pure blue with some coral here and there. Could not swim right off oceanfront room (some fish or sea urchins might get too friendly) but there is a small island nearby that is perfect for swimming. The sand was beautiful and we rented a boat to explore other islands which was so much fun.
It was crazy hot but we had a fan and I ended up with the best tan ever👙 Sunbathing was chef’s kiss ✨ The food was all homecooked mostly vegetarian which is exactly my thing. Reynold was super chill and friendly and we even played games and pool together 😎
