"One of the oldest cemeteries in Surakarta. The cemetery houses the ancestor of the Mataram dynasty, Ki Ageng Henis. Furthermore, this tomb is contemporaneous with the Pajang Kingdom, although Laweyan itself is located on the outskirts of the kingdom's center. The tombs here are interesting. If you look closely, some of the tombs have a different style than typical Mataram tombs, likely dating from the Pajang Kingdom. Unfortunately, the tombstones of Ki Ageng Henis and his wife are no longer original."
