"As an experienced hiker I can tell you it’s not to hard except to the summit. I believe it’s about 900 m elevation to the top and all thru the volcanic sand which is like one step up and slide a half step back. You will start most likely in the night between 12am -3am depending on your shape and pase. It’s Getting cold in the night while hiking up so have the right clothes with you. View is Just insane, semeru erupts approximately every 15 minute, sometimes it takes up to 90 minutes and then the explosion and smoke will be bigger."
