Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the breathtaking beauty of Great Blasket Island, the incredible wildlife encounters, and the knowledgeable, friendly ferry crews. The island offers a peaceful escape with stunning beaches and a unique historical atmosphere. Some minor communication issues with accommodation bookings were noted, but the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive.

"We went on the Great Blasket Island Experience with our 2.5 and 5 year old, and I honestly cannot recommend it enough!! The island itself is incredible. Breathtaking views, wildlife, and if you have the chance, the free OPW tour is absolutely worth doing. But what really set this experience apart for us was the tour company and the boat trip there and back.

My husband is a birder and was thrilled by how knowledgeable and attentive the crew was. They took time to scope out out wildlife along the way and we were able to watch a pod of dolphins, look for whales, and saw plenty of seabirds. Even with very young kids on board, we felt very safe, and the crew was so kind and easygoing.

It’s a family-run business, and you can really feel the care they put into the experience. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Dingle, and we’d absolutely do it again if we’re lucky enough to come back. Thanks again for such a wonderful and memorable experience!!"

"Cannot recommend this experience enough. The island is bliss. We spent most of the day there on the beach. White sand, swam with seals. Not overrun with tourists. Impeccable boat over and back with amazing knowledge from guides Chris and sean, whales, dolphins and puffins. The views and exposure to the other islands is also amazing and so interesting. I’ve been dreaming of this trip for nearly 3 years and it did not disappoint. Book it!"
