The Royal Marine Hotel offers a traditional stay with beautiful sea views and excellent service for events, though some guests have noted issues with property maintenance and inconsistent staff helpfulness. While the spa is a highlight, be prepared for specific requirements like swimming caps.
"This is a lovely traditional hotel with great views out over the bay. The staff were lovely. Rooms were a good size with well equipped bathrooms. There was a nice sitting area in the hotel with a lovely real fire. Breakfast was a good buffet with plenty of tea and toast. The pool and spa area was a welcome treat. Lovely to see lots of family’s staying and there were activities for younger guests. Would recommend dining in the restaurant."

"Highly recommend The Royal Marine hotel for any event or party. We just had a wedding party here and everything was perfect, the attention to detail, the food and service was absolutely amazing. I would like to mention Peter, Shannon and Chloe for their great service. Shannon who helped us organise and plan the whole event. She was so helpful, kind and made us feel so special and the whole planning process so easy. Chloe on the night was our main point of contact and made us feel so welcome and looked after us so well. Thank you so much!"

"We visited Sasana Spa in the Royal Marine Hotel and it was so fabulous. I booked the Thermal Oasis package (€39 each) for myself and my friend and it was so nice, relaxing on the beds, the heated loungers, enjoying some juice, fruit or tea, sitting in the sauna and steam room and then going to the pool and jacuzzi. It was a lovely day out spent in peace and quiet."
