As an art installation, I get the vision… it’s beautiful in a strange way, well thought out and well executed… a talking piece that you can look at and appreciate.
The downside? You get to look at it too much… because you are STUCK AT THE MUTHAFUGGING ROUNDABOUT!!!
Sweet mother of Jesus?!?! Does anybody… ANYBODY?!?! from Donegal County Council ever go through this abomination of an excuse for a roundabout?!?! There are approximately 400 traffic lights on it, and absolutely none of them are needed.
Just. Let. The. Traffic. Move.
I’ll set the scene for any road into this catastrophe:
Lights go red.
Traffic instantly builds up.
Nothing coming from the right.
You just have to wait.
….and wait…
While even more traffic builds up behind you.
Still waiting.
…for nothing to pass.
Lights go green.
You get to the next set of lights (…on the way around the roundabout???)
…waiting again while nothing passes.
Last weekend, I spent 4 days on this circle of terror. I had to order Just Eat twice over the space of one trip around it…
Ffs, Donegal Co. Co…. Put someone standing there with a clipboard for a day and get them to put little marks on a page every time people are unnecessarily stopped. Then, try either turning off the lights, or changing the timing on them and try again???
Surely it can’t be that hard to organise traffic flow a wee bit better??? Donegal people are not thick (…well most of them anyway…) give them the benefit of the doubt and let them try to figure it out!!!
