What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors overwhelmingly praise the Quiet Man Statue and Cong village, especially fans of the classic film. The statue is seen as a perfect likeness and a must-see for those who grew up with the movie. The village's preserved charm and authentic atmosphere are frequently highlighted as major positives.
"Amazing statue and town. Pubs were awesome. The Quiet Man fans will love this place."
Oh Man! Don’t hit me with them negative waves
"If you grew up in an Irish family in the New York area you watched The Quiet Man in Channel 11 EVERY St. Patrick's Day. To visit Cong and see the sights from the movie - which absolutely HAVE NOT changed since they shot the movie in 1952 - was simply amazing. If you're a fan of the movies, in general, and this movie, in particular, you know there nothing quite like standing right in that spot you've seen in the movie so many times. The statue is placed perfectly amongst these sites in the center of town (and Cong itself is not big at all). It's a perfect likeness of both. If you grew up with this movie, as I did, this is a MUST SEE."
Homey The Man
"Can't say it looks exactly like them... ahem... but come on, fans love it. And so did we. Brilliant!! :)"
