"Incredible views from the wall that was built in Roman times. Enjoyed seeing local Arab boys jumping off the wall in the summer. People on the street were all very kind. From the wall, you can see city of Haifa"
Kaz
"The current Ottoman walls were the ones that defeated Napoleon's attempts to capture the city in 1799. Along the coastal strip there are also remains of the Crusader walls - with people using them as a base for fishing.
If you're lucky there is parking in Ha-Hagana St but every time we drove past it was full. It's not far to walk from one end of the sea walls to the other anyway and there are a few bastions you can enter as well. A bit of litter but not too bad."
Marcus Hurley
"Akko is one of the oldest city in the world. It is a beautiful historical site. It is worth walking around during night and day. Make sure u visit the Turkish bath, the underground pilgrims path and the old city wall."
