"Château Pèlerin, also known as Atlit Castle, was built by the Knights Templar in the early 13th Century and has been described as a "crowning example of Crusader military architecture". You unfortunately can't actually walk around the castle or grounds, as it is now part of the Atlit naval base and a training zone for Israeli Naval commandos, but you can get some excellent views of it from the nearby beach. I've given it four stars, as it should be made into a museum and be accessible by the public, given the historical and cultural significance of it."
