What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Taninim Nature Reserve for its unique blend of natural beauty and well-preserved historical sites, particularly the Roman dam and water mills. It's considered a peaceful escape, ideal for family outings and nature walks, especially during the cooler months. Some note that summer can be challenging due to heat and limited shade.
"Only a 40 minute drive from Tel Aviv, an a peaceful place to visit with your kids, or by yourself.
I did it twice, first time alone and since I enjoyed it so much I went back with my family.
Interesting for its archeological findings or reconstruction, for the ponds, the nature...
In short the variety and the relaxing environment make it a good weekend activity."

"Nice park, easy to get, easy parking. Get enough water at the entrance because there is no water fountain inside. Most of the park is not shaded, so itโs a bit hard for young kids in the summer. However, there are many shaded resting areas inside. In general, itโs about 2~3 hours of slow walking plus a picnic. Good to go when the weather is not too hot."

"Charming place. Lakes, rivers, aqueducts, wooden wheels of water mills, animals. Once an hour they release water and you can see moving wheel. Short trails and one long trail to the sea."
