What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Museum of the Mask for its unique collection of astonishing masks and sculptural works by the Sartori family, calling it a 'little gem' and a 'wonderful experience.' However, some note that the collection isn't exhaustive and suggest improvements to the museum's supplementary materials and gift shop offerings. Pricing discrepancies were also mentioned.
"A rarity in the world of mask. Sartori is simply the greatest and the museum holds a good selection of his astonishing masks. It's not an exhaustive collection. The site also boasts his sculptural works that I was unfamiliar with. Discover the magic of the masks for yourself. The downside is literary supplementation and dare I say it the gift/book shop? I almost hate myself for writing that! But a decent catalogue world be beneficial considering the artist worth that these creations and expressions offer? This place should be celebrated more. It's a little gem. I do hope to go back."

"You get it...on the website it's €7 and reduced €5. Then I go in and with a big smile the girl at the cashier, seeing my disability card, says: "Well, then you don't pay €10, but €7... I look at her and tell her that in that case it would be better to change the information on the website. She replies that she's only been there a short time and hadn't looked...oh well!
Congratulations! And it's not the price, just the principle, because the Museum is worth a visit."

"A wonderful experience where you can learn a lot about the history of masks over the centuries (from around 1100) and about the history of Italian commedia dell'arte, as well as international experiences. The exhibition displays 10% of the international collection collected by Amleto Sartori (father), Donato Sartori (son), Paola (Donato's wife), and finally their daughter Sarah.
A tailor-made trip is recommended."
