What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors often find Lungomare Albenga to be a pleasant and beautiful place for walks, especially during summer evenings, with lovely views of Gallinara Island and often free beaches. However, some feel it lacks commercial development compared to nearby towns and can be less engaging outside the peak season.
"A 50% wonderful experience. Nothing to complain about in the village, beautiful and quaint, on the seafront, a family walk, on Sundays everything is fine as long as you go to see the sea, beautiful, lots of people, but... No commercial activities, just a simple bar at the end, very questionable, in the height of summer, a lovely place, but once that's over, it's over until next summer, a real shame. Avoid the walk, a wasted day; other places are better.
He doesn't answer, it's obviously out of season, because on the same day, Varazze, a few kilometers away, was wonderful."
Andrea Calarese
"On the plus side, the beach is often free (a rare occurrence in Liguria), but unfortunately, it's not as sandy as Alassio. The view is also beautiful, although the "Turtle" (Gallinara Island, which is geographically located under the municipality of Albenga) is angled so it can't be appreciated as well as from Alassio. The downside is that the seafront isn't as well-developed for tourism as nearby Alassio, Varazze, Finale Ligure, etc. Oh well!"
